We hiked Mount Houkyou in Tsukuba, Japan over the weekend. It was our 5 year old daughter’s first mountain hiking experience. It’s a small mountain but the hills were a lot steeper than we expected. Muddy ground from last night’s heavy rain made it extra challenging for us but it was very satisfying in the end.
